Vintage Vinyl News: Little Feat Drummer Richie Hayward Passes Away

Drummer Richard Hayward , one of the founding members of Little Feat , passed away on Thursday from complications of liver cancer.  The group broke up and the members went their separate ways until 1969 when George, Hayward, Roy Estrada and Billy Payne formed Little Feat.  Their 1973 album, Dixie Chicken , added a funky feel to the group's sound and slowly started building an audience behind their extensive touring.
